Sunset Views Apartment (2F 2-bedroom serviced accommodation)
A wooden townhouse that combines traditional craftsmanship with modern comfort, Komatsu South is located in Gion, an area handy for sightseeing, shopping and gourmet explorations.
This second-floor unit is one of four apartments in the townhouse. Designed to be your home base in Kyoto whether your stay lasts for a few days or a few months, all units come with wi-fi, heated flooring, a fully-equipped kitchenette, and a washing machine and dryer.
Both of the 2-bedroom apartments are light and modern yet recognizably Japanese in their use of wood, tatami and handmade paper. The unit on the second floor also has a balcony that offers views of the sunset sky. Indoors, the living room features a dramatic composition of Kyoto expert John Einarsen’s works arranged by the photographer himself.

Komatsu South also has a rooftop deck and an outdoor tea ceremony space. E-mail us if you would like to book this space for an event or private function, or if you would like us to organise a traditional tea session for you. This space can also be rented by guests who do not stay in the machiya.
